You're already being brainwashed.
The only choice is whether you do it deliberately.
Most people fail not because they aim too low — but because they never decide what they’re aiming at. The direction is set by default, not by choice.
My definition of success: it is the progressive, daily striving towards a worthy goal. It follows Earl Nightingale success definition.
That means you don’t have to wait to “become” successful; you can be one today if your direction is right and if you decide to act upon it, no matter how small that action is. It’s a choice.
- Not when you’re rich
- Not when you’re famous
- Not when you’ve “arrived”
So why do we keep telling ourselves “Once I get there, then I’ll be someone.” If by just moving into the correct direction you are a success? If after a while you’ll reach your goal, then manifesting in reality, your wish?
Because that’s the default and you don’t choose whether you’re brainwashed. You only choose the direction of the brainwashing.
How I did it? At every opportunity I reminded myself of it:
- every night I played Earl Nightingale tapes up until I convinced myself that this was always on my mind before sleep
- On weekends I spent hours just listening to the same videos while resting. Over and over again.
It was pure desperation. But that desperation, applied every day, every week, over months in fact did rewire my default, society-ingrained thinking.
It was not overnight. It was not magic. But it was inevitable.
Just as inevitable as my fate would be if I did not do it. But I chose to do it, consistently, up until every step gave birth to a new identity: I am a person going somewhere. And when my identity shifted, behavior followed. When behavior caught up, results had no choice but to show up.
That’s how success is built — not as a finish line, but as a way of living, daily striving towards a worthy goal.
